Stuart McHardy is furniture maker form Wales, I have known him since I was 7 years old, he is family to Matsuko and myself. When Stuart and I were eight or so, he's dad who was a master carpenter decided he would make us a model yacht to sail on the local ponds, he finished it when we were about 25. So working on the Souvenir is our revenge for having to be years without a boat.

Stuart and YoHa have considered many methods of writing into the Souvenir, laser cutting, burning, sand blasting. We resolved to CNC Router the text as this would allow for the curve of the boat. We searched for vertical routers but most of them are belt driven and the stepper motors are a little weak.

We found a company in the north of England that could make us what we needed.
